Continuing on from our beach cleaning endeavours last week, I had the gift of going to the V&A Dundee's amazing exhibition 'Plastic. Remaking The World’ late last year. Covering the history, uses and repurposing of this amazingly versatile yet environmentally destructive material the exhibition was both sobering yet hopeful - a bit like our 'Bag The Bruck’ experience! This event has now finished but continues on in a book form of the same name. This is relatively expensive but packed full of historical information, imagery, and hope for the future in terms of up to date solutions and latest thinking around resolving the environmental health challenges plastic now poses to all life forms across the globe, alongside its diversity of use.
Hopefully this exhibition will be shown elsewhere soon.
