Solar Eclipse

We had the gift of returning to Orkney on the 8th of August at the peak of the Lion’s Gate portal, staying until just after the solar eclipse.

For those of you who have been reading this blog for a while, you will know that we lived in Orkney for over 14 years, during which Crystal Earthworks was also based there.

Our return at such a key energetic time felt to be divinely orchestrated, and I was prompted to do some key energetic work, and further crystal planting, in the vicinity of the Ring of Brodgar and Stones of Steness complex on eclipse day.

These are four of the eight scolecite shards placed, and are the culmination of much energetic work to this site over the years. After I completed the work a visitor kindly offered to take a photo of me amongst some of the stones which felt very beautiful.

Although the evening was cloudy we did have the occasional glimpse of the eclipse and its energy felt very moving and powerful, such a gift to have been present for  this event in Orkney.

Lions Gate 2026

The Lions Gate portal is a key energetic opportunity to release old patterning and ways of being and welcome in the new, manifesting all that is true to our souls light, both at the personal and collective levels.

This year the gateway which peaks tomorrow, 8/08/26, is particularly powerful and potent given the numerology and astrological alignment's this year.

Holding this in our hearts, the beautiful preseli bluestone shown below will be opened at 8am tomorrow, 8th August 2026, and remain open until 8pm on the 12th August 2026. The latter being the day of the next New Moon, which also coincides with a total Solar Eclipse in some parts of the globe, the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower, and the closing of the Lions Gate portal.

Angel Aura Planting

Whilst the amazing weather held here in Perthshire, Scotland, I had the gift of going up a local Munro adjacent to the Ben Lawers group  of mountains. This is a high energy area and crystal planting work has been done to various sites around here over more than a decade. Very pure smokey quartz pieces from the slopes of Ben Lawers itself are also used in one of our monthly Earth Healing Meditations.

The angel aura was place to the top of  Meall nan Tarmachan and we were gifted with amazing views of endless mountains in all directions, as well as greater clarity regarding future plantings to this beautiful area. The angel aura is part of our ongoing Global Aura Planting work and is now acting as an anchor of angelic light to the planet.

New Mountain Planting

With all the warm weather in the UK recently we have had the gift of being able to take to the hills for some crystal planting expeditions. This one felt particularly special as it was to Carn Chois, a mountain  I look up at almost everyday on my local walks here in Perthshire, Scotland, and one I had been hoping to get up for a while.

This beautiful combination of crystals was placed to the top programmed to anchor the energies of unity (unikite), nurturance (snow quartz) and positive transformation (titanium aura) into the Earth. It was a quite a challenge getting up there in the heat and a lot further than I had anticipated but well worth the effort for the views alone.

It also feels amazing, as now, everyday, I look up at the top and I can feel the beautiful and much needed energies of the crystals placed, flowing into the land around us and feeding positivity into the Earths wider energetic grid.

Earth Healing Meditation

Just a quick reminder that tonight's Tuesday Earth Healing Meditation, through 8pm BST, is the focus for the third Tuesday of the month:

This event uses the beautiful configuration shown below, comprised of four pentagonite, four petalite and eight angel aura in combination with a Pure Grace Heart and four rose aura.

 

The pentagonite and petalite crystals work with higher levels of consciousness to draw in and help unfurl new ways of being for all. The angel aura, as in many of our current meditations, anchor energies of support, healing and protection from the angelic realms. With the Pure Grace Heart and rose aura combination to the centre enhancing heart and Divine Feminine connection, this is a beautiful configuration of crystals with great transformational potential.

Garnierite Heart

In addition to our regular meditation programme, this beautiful garnierite (green moonstone) heart was ignited through 8pm BST last night, 14/07/26, for 24 hours in connection with the energies of the new moon in  Cancer.

Programmed:

‘To  garner our lives with all that brings greater harmony, balance and nurturance to ourselves, the Earth and all her inhabitants.’

At a personal level this beautiful crystal, sometimes known as ‘The stone of the Goddess’ helps to settle emotional hurt and heal the heart, as well as connecting deeper into Divine Feminine empowerment. On a planetary level it enables us to tune into, and co-create, all that is required for a sustainable future for all, to garnish our lives with all attuned to heart led flow.

Snow Quartz Cairn

 It felt lovely a few weeks ago to finally have a crystal garden cairn again. Our move south, from Orkney, some two years ago now, felt to be an opportunity to step into greater nurturance of ourselves, each other and at a community and planetary level.

Initially I was prompted to grid our new home and garden both for protection and nurturance using a combination of amethyst and snow quartz. With the cairn I again felt drawn to snow quartz. This beautiful milky white crystal veils nurturance and strength to all in its wake and often attracts an abundance of wildlife.

The new cairn feels to be a beautiful gentle healing focus to ourselves, the garden and beyond. Amazingly, within a couple of days of building and igniting it,  I woke up to find a roe deer buck sleeping in the long grass next to it, followed by a local pair of mallards. Within recent days red squirrels have been visiting, not so common in the summer, and swifts have begun prospecting the house eaves for roosting and nesting opportunities.

It will take a while for the energy to build but I’m hoping in time it can become a planetary healing focus as previous cairns to our homes have been. Merlinite Planting

On our 34th wedding anniversary on Saturday, we had the gift of visiting the Moor of Ardoch, a beautiful site near the historic village of Fowlis Wester, Perthshire, Scotland. There, lies a prominent standing stone and two small stone circles, remnants of an ancient ritual site.

I was prompted to plant the standing stone with a merlinite programmed to re-activate the site to current times in accordance with the greater good of all. This is part of ongoing crystal work with standing stones and stones circles across the UK and beyond.

After the planting and ignition of the crystal I was drawn to circle the first stone circle three times and then sit to its centre. It was a moving experience and feels to be only the beginning of work to this special place.

Global Peace Meditations

A huge thank you to everyone who connected in to last night’s weekly Thursday meditation for planetary peace, healing and heart connection. We have a new heart shaped rose quartz chunk as the focus for these events, whilst the the regular crystal has a well earned rest in the garden after many years of service.

The new piece is about twice the size and weight of the old one and I’m easing into sitting with its beautiful healing energy, as it creates a powerful space to hold once ignited.

Strawberry Full Moon Meditation

Tonight’s regular meditation, 30/06/26, through 8pm BST, is a rare fifth Tuesday of the month and coincides with a Strawberry Full Moon in Capricorn and the first days of a period of Mercury Retrograde. 

This point in the astrological calendar offers the opportunity, at both a personal and planetary level, to celebrate all that is coming to fruition in our lives, whilst recognising all that no longer serves ourselves, those around us, and the greater good of all. The current Mercury Retrograde is also encouraging us to slow down and be patient and take a more mindful measured approach to life.

Rose Heart of Light Planting

We had the gift of a wet but beautiful walk in the area of Bracklinn Falls, near Callander, Perthshire, Scotland last week - before the heat arrived!

This beautiful Rose Heart of Light, specially programmed to bring peace and healing to all in its wake, was placed a few miles upstream of the main falls into a pool central to the streamway. In this way the gentle yet powerful healing energy of the crystal radiates out not only to its place of planting but also imbues the water passing over it with a wash of healing light which then constantly flows to the pools down steam and beyond. This planting felt especially poignant to this site due to the recent loss of a young life to the area.

These beautiful crystals have been used to grid the whole of the British Isles and Ireland and continue to be planted across the globe creating an ever growing energetic network of peace and healing light.

Summer Solstice Meditation

There will be a special meditation tomorrow 21/06/26, through noon BST, marking the summer solstice here in the Northern Hemisphere. This meditation celebrates the warmth, fecundity and nurturance of this time of year and offers an opportunity to pause and reflect on the first half of the year, celebrate intentions set in motion, and look towards the continuing journey forward. 

This year we are using the beautiful configuration shown below, with the focus: 

'To send the energies of joy, hope, strength, vitality and heart connection to the Earth and her inhabitants'

Aqua Aura Planting

We had the gift of an outing to Killin, Perthshire, Scotland, last week enabling the planting of an aqua aura to the top of Creag Bhuidhe, a relatively small but steep hill overlooking the village, Loch Tay and the surrounding mountains.

It’s a long time since I’ve planted one of these beautiful crystals. Specially programmed to enhance spiritual connection through unconditional love in action and to anchor this energy into the planet, they have been placed across the globe since 2006 to places of high energy, setting up an ever-growing matrix of crystal light energy.

This evening 15/06/26 we have the fifth of our New Moon Year of the Fire Horse Meditations, marking today's new moon in Gemini.

World Oceans Day

Today is World Oceans Day, so it felt timely to post a reminder of the beauty of ocean jasper and its holistic uses in strengthening our oceans and the life forms within them. 

For many moons the project has run a monthly inner Crystal Earth Healing Meditation based around this theme, using a beautiful ocean jasper sphere as a central focus in combination with other crystals. We have also been actioning and encouraging the planting of ocean jasper across the globe for several years. Programmed to strengthen life forms within the rock pools or tidal zones to which they are placed, most of this work has so far been to the coastal waters of the UK.

Other work to strengthen and purify our oceans has been the placement of specially programmed Pure Grace Hearts to global coastal waters across the planet and the placement of programmed apple auras to support areas of seagrass renewal.

this felt to be an upping of the energy of this event, as we and our beautiful planet continue to physically and energetically transform.

Snow Quartz

Snow quartz is the stone of nurturance and can be worn, carried placed in the home, or planted, to bring a gentle sustaining light to its bearer or area of placement. Also known as the 'milk of the Earth' it is common  across the globe and is very prevalent here in Perthshire, Scotland where it is found in the soil, in the walls of buildings, in drystone dykes and out on the mountains or on the riversides.

It has felt particularly key since our move south and today is being prepared for a garden healing cairn, for the relaunch of Starlight Crystals, and the reactivation of a crystal planting project I began in May 2024 as we were travelling south from Orkney to our new home.

Below it is shown in its tumbled form, as a larger natural piece destined for the cairn, and as lower quality pieces found on recent walks and travels.

Puck's Glen

As we enter the first few days of the new moon energy, it felt good to begin to share more details of the beautiful crystal planting work actioned this spring. 

The second crystal planting of our trip to the Loch Fyne area of Scotland, in March, was to the stunning and ethereal Puck's Glen. This deep woodland gorge with cascading waterfalls and an abundance of ferns and mosses is a magical place, linked to many tales of mischievous woodland spirits.

Beautiful celestite dust, made by respectfully crushing celestite pieces, was scattered intuitively down the length of the glen. Programmed to enhance the energy of elemental life, bringing light support and strengthening energy to a myriad of elemental light streams, it felt perfect for this stunning location.

Earth Healing Meditations

Our regular Crystal Earth Healing Meditation programme continues through to the end of May.

May Update

It’s been a busy start to the month, with little chance to write or post, so it’s lovely to find time and space again for both.

With the slightly warmer weather we are beginning to plan days out further a field which always seem to come with great opportunities to crystal plant. In the meantime I’m looking forward to sharing more of the work actioned from our travels in early April.

Our beautiful Crystal Earth Healing Meditations will continue throughout the rest of May with public events three times a week and plenty of other planetary meditation work going on behind the scenes. Further details to come.

As I continue to work on the projects book, other writing opportunities are arising to share the Earth healing potential of crystals more widely which feels inspiring. In addition, with interest in the work growing, I’m hoping to be able to expand the offerings on the website and also look to reopening Crystal Earthworks sister site Starlight Crystals shortly.
