Thank you to everyone who joined Crystal Earthworks in its Earth enhancing activities over the last week, in celebration of Earth Day 2024, last Monday. Here in Orkney I have done a couple of litter collections, one last week and one this morning both, at the Ring of Brodgar, with very little to pick up which is heartening. In terms of reducing plastic use we have recently swapped from buying milk in plastic bottles from the supermarket to glass bottles which can be refilled in various local shops. The milk tastes better too!

Full Moon Cleansing

Today marks the full Moon known as the 'Pink Moon’ whose name originates from the flowering of pink Moss Phlox, a plant originating in North America which has beautiful pink flowers at this time of year. There won’t be a special moon meditation today as I am starting to wind things down here in Orkney as we continue to make preparations to move south, however it is the perfect time to have a spring clean and place all those much loved, well used crystals to cleanse!

Earth Healing Meditation

Tonight’s Earth healing meditation, 23/04/24, through 8pm BST, has the focus: 

'To cleanse, nurture and strengthen the planetary body of the Earth and her inhabitants.’

Earth Day 2024

Today we celebrate Earth Day 2024. This years theme is 'Planet vs Plastics’ focusing on collective action to help repair and heal the planets ecosystems, combat climate change and support biodiversity. There are special events taking place across the globe open for all to take part in or donate to: www.earthday.org, alternatively each of us can action our own way of supporting our beautiful planet. 

Crystal Earthworks is this year focusing on finding ways to reduce the use of plastic in our lives and removing existing plastic from the environment. If you feel drawn to taking part, simply find one way, this week, you can reduce your plastic use on a permanent basis and /or collect and recycle any plastic and other litter in your local area.

Soil and soul

As we continue our preparations to move south, after 14 years in Orkney, I’ve just taken up and cleansed the malachite from our greenhouse here. Programmed to reinvest the soil, and all foods grown in that soil with a Light charge that can then be passed on to those who consume the foods, these beautiful crystals have blessed us with so much over our years of growing produce here.

Eternally grateful for their healing light, we are taking them, and the gravel filled pots in which they have sat over the years, with us, ready to put them to use again in our new location.

Solar Eclipse and New Moon Meditation

Our regular Tuesday meditation this week is being replaced by a special meditation this evening, Monday 8/04/24, marking tonight's solar eclipse and new moon in Aries. Eclipses offer us key energy portals to connect to ways forward to instigate positive change both for ourselves and others.

As we prepare our garden for its new owners, I was reminded last weekend of the amazing recycling abilities of our beautiful Mother Earth. Photos show the rich compost mulch our veggie waste has turned into here in Orkney in around nine months thanks to the warmth of the sun and the abundance of worms which naturally introduced themselves through holes we had made in the bottom of the bin. Composting is truly a magical gift both to ourselves and our planet.

Apple Aura Planting

The second crystal planted on our recent trip south was this beautiful apple aura to a ‘mother tree’ in birch woodland on the banks of  Loch Alvie, Scotland. Programmed to ground the emerald green light of harmony, balance, restoration and replenishment to the Earth and her inhabitants, these stunning crystals are being planted to key trees and woodland/forest sites across the UK and beyond.
