This stunning piece of calcite, programmed to strengthen the mineral body of the Earth, was planted a couple of weeks ago to Bu Point, out beyond Stromness on mainland Orkney, Scotland. I had been drawn to this piece not quite understanding its relevance to the area we had planned to walk but looking for a kingfisher on the way we ended up on a completely new walk to us which took us to this amazing rocky outcrop looking out into Scapa Flow. This felt like a powerful place energetically where the land meets the sea and the colours and thus energy resonance of the crystal seemed to perfectly match its place of planting.
