As the weather improves here in Orkney, we have been back to the coastline in recent days. My partner and I regularly visit a small beach on the West Mainland and 'Bag the Bruck', which is Orcadian for litter collecting. After so much stormy weather there was less to clear than we had predicted, but discarded plastic and in particular plastic bottles were, as so often, the main items found.
